Whew! Last week was A WEEK, wasn’t it?

Between power losses, Floridian heat and humidity, and lack of leftover Real Good Bars, last week was not our favorite. Here at the TRGL Kitchen, we were among those who lost power on Tuesday evening and it was only thanks to the generosity of our neighbors Vennture Brew Co. who opened up the doors of their cooler to us, that we were able to still fulfill our Wednesday deliveries.

Two years ago I had 133 servings and 7 stops on my meal delivery to do list. I was in a church kitchen by myself. Groceries were purchased at the regular grocery store in regular grocery store quantities. I felt haggard, but only worked 2.5 days a week.

Last week was rough. I forgot Q-tips and I kept running out of time to drink my drinks before it was dessert time while sitting on the patio listening to the waves from our Florida beach condo. I mean, margaritas are good. Oreos are good. Margaritas and Oreos… not good. What’s a girl to do?!

From day one this business has celebrated “the real life, the good life, and the real good life.” We have never shied away from the fact that even the best life has its faults. It simply can’t be perfect all the time. (Nor can it be the worst 100% of the time. There is always something to salute.)

Even if you don’t have kids at home, I swear we’re all programmed to feel like we’re at the start of something new when September rolls around. Same goes for us here at The Real Good Life. Read on for a few fun updates that we think you’ll love. There’s some big stuff a’brewing over here and we’re excited to bring you in on it.

On September 13th of this year, we will celebrate our 5th anniversary as a company. It’s hard to believe while also truly humbling and incredible, especially when viewed in light of THE YEAR the entire planet has experienced! As we enter into our fifth year, we have zeroed in on the importance of community. To us, it’s not just a concept, but the actual lifeblood of everything we do.

We are so excited to announce expanded delivery to Cedarburg and Grafton starting with delivery on September 30th.

While we say we deliver up to 15 miles from our kitchen in Wauwatosa, our software requires we go by zip code. This means those on the south side of town have enjoyed some extra limits for awhile.
