Consider this a training wheels version of a southern staple. We aren’t doing it up Creole style (yet!). Instead, this is a creamy, cheesy, and bacon-y shrimp dish the whole family will love.

ABOUT SINGLE SERVING ORDERS
This size is available in “lunchbox style” or “make at home” versions. For the lunchbox, I’ll do all the work and include extras, so you’re all set for the brown bag. If you select “make at home”, you get to spend some time in the kitchen. I don’t do your dishes, but I’ve done the rest of your dirty work. Basic time and instructions are included below.
If you order the “lunchbox style”, it comes with fruit and your selection of extra side. Please let me know in the notes if you’d like additional fruit, carrot sticks, a buttermilk biscuit or Brooke’s black and white cookie.
Instructions: Rinse shrimp and pat dry. Fry the bacon in a large skillet until browned; drain well. In grease, add shrimp. Cook until shrimp turn pink. Add lemon juice and garlic mix, chopped bacon, and green onions. Saute for 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, reheat grits on the stovetop or microwave.
Spoon grits into a serving bowl. Add shrimp mixture and mix well. Serve immediately.
