Honey Garlic Sauce - Put it on Everything!

Just when you thought ranch was the World’s Most Perfect Sauce©, I’m here to change your mind. Ladies and gents, boys and girls – I present to thee – Honey Garlic Sauce.

This stuff is SO GOOD! As a matter of fact, it’s so good we’re making it our May #trglcookingclub challenge recipe. Make a batch (or two) of the sauce and your options are endless.

Bread some chicken breasts or cauliflower florets, bake until roasted, then toss with the sauce. Or perhaps you would prefer to grill a fresh piece of fish that has been basted with this beautiful sauce. Use a slow cooker (or Instant Pot!) to make shredded pork and then douse with the sauce to finish off the meat for delish sandwiches or tacos. It’s great as stir-fry sauce or even as a dressing on an Asian-y salad.

The bestest sauce to put on everything - stir fry, over grilled meat, roasted veggies. Yum! Recipe makes roughly two cups.

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 2/3 cup soy sauce
  • 4 tsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha to taste


  • In a small bowl, whisk together water and cornstarch, until the cornstarch dissolves completely. Set aside.
  • Combine the rest of the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring every now and then (and watch for boiling over!) When the mixture reaches a boil, reduce heat and add the cornstarch mixture. 
  • Bring to a simmer again (still watch for boiling over) and cook until the sauce thickens, about two minutes.
